Thanks for the tip! An alternate approach that I decided to use was to actually remove the sidebar from the code using a child theme. I then added a small function to my functions.php file to adjust the styles so that the page would display full width. I explained it in this post: http://abundantdesigns.com/...

Spent some time changing a new site from sufusion (another wp framework thingy) and hands down flexible 3 blows it away! Had a decent amount of time into configuring suffusion but it only took 22 minutes to get it looking much better with flexible 3!

So far I have added the private campaigns plugin and the site replicator and they are both pretty good!

There was a few whonky things setting up the site replication but nothing that was a show stopper or a deal breaker!
